How do I file an Aflac claim?

- Online claim form: CLICK HERE to go to the Aflac Group Insurance site where you can download a claim form or file your claim online.
- Paper claim form: Download the appropriate claim form found below under Plan Documents and submit your completed claim form to Aflac. Instructions are on the claim forms.

Can I enroll in an HDHP with an HSA if I have Medicare?

You can enroll in the HDHP itself, but you cannot contribute to the HSA.
If you enroll in Medicare after age 65, Part A coverage is generally backdated up to 6 months (but never earlier than the month you turned 65). Any HSA contributions made during that retroactive window become excess contributions.
If you are already contributing to an HSA, you may need to stop contributions 6 months before your Medicare effective date to avoid excess contributions and possible tax implications. All money already in your HSA (prior to you turning 65) is yours to keep. You can continue using accumulated funds tax-free for qualified medical expenses.
